Anxiety Therapy

Moving beyond anxiety with greater calm, clarity, and connection

Anxiety often develops for a reason. Beneath the overthinking, perfectionism, tension, or constant sense of urgency is usually a part of you trying to protect something more vulnerable.

In therapy, we work not only toward relief from anxiety, but toward understanding the patterns that keep it going. Together, we’ll explore how anxiety shows up in your body, the strategies you’ve developed to cope, and the protective parts involved in cycles of worry, control, avoidance, or self-pressure. Rather than fighting these parts, we approach them with curiosity and compassion.

We also focus on the emotions underneath the anxiety itself — the feelings that may have once felt too overwhelming to face alone. This work is not about endlessly analyzing the past, but understanding how earlier experiences shaped the ways you learned to protect yourself emotionally.

Over time, you will begin to feel not only less anxious, but more grounded, connected, and able to move through life with greater ease and self-trust.

My Approach

My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and strengths-based therapy to help clients build a more compassionate relationship with themselves while developing practical tools for change.

Using IFS, we explore the different “parts” of you that may hold anxiety, fear, pressure, or avoidance with curiosity rather than judgment. AEDP helps us work experientially and emotionally, creating space for healing, connection, and lasting transformation—not just intellectual insight. A strengths-based lens keeps therapy grounded in your resilience, helping you reconnect with the capacities and values that already exist within you.
